Inspired by Nellie Mae Rowe - an Expressionist Artist of Fayetteville Georgia. She would become one of the first Black Artists to sell her art on her own soil - she would call it “ The Play Yard “… Now that I live in Fayetteville just a few miles from where she painted and now is buried I ook into the skies and wonder what she would see on a dark night here in Fayetteville over 100 years ago… I bet the skies would look almost cosmic. Like a cosmic play yard.
