My mother loves the ocean. As a child her mother would take her to the lake before she died giving birth. Now my mom takes a cruise 2xs a year I'm guessing to escape into those innocent times. Its amazing how she lost her mom at 14yrs old and just with 14yrs of that unconditional love she was able to build from it and evolve into a PHENOMENAL MOM. Growing up in the Desire Projects she rode her bike to Xavier University and became a Pharmacist at 25 yrs old and still is today. She stays behind for EVERY storm including Hurricane Katrina to care for her patients at VA Hospital. It was so hard not knowing where she was for 3 days after the storm with no power to the city. She gave me her blessings with tears in her eyes to start a new life in Houston and go for my dreams. She has supported every goal I've ever desired. Drama classes at 9, Writing classes at 12 and when art become my love at 14yr she introduced me to paint stores / other painters etc. For this and so much more I created this design for her. To me it's the sunrise on endless miles of beautiful ocean. I call it "Sea Turtle". I promise to bring my daughter to the lake. Its a memory that deserves to happen with the next generation.
